(If you like this picture you can COMMISSION ME!)
$18 Full 'Color' commission for Ce-e-vel http://ce-e-vel.deviantart.com of what I may consider to be the most strangest commission by in a way being so beautiful in a benign sort of way. Basically the idea was a Dwarven metal smelting scene for a coin stamp.
This is a bit of an odd one for me. I have done coin designs, strangely enough. One in a 3D program, and another a design for one of my game mod teams (which is strangely not on here, but it was basically the Canadian Quarter but with a monkey). So wasn't unfamiliar with the concept, though no dwarves to be found in my gallery, so was a little surprised to be asked for this since most of my commissions seem to involve fluffy animal people with bazingas, not hard working individuals with beards the envy of most men.
Execution wise, a couple of edits and drawing. Took the lines into Illustrator and painfully went about that part since usually I go for simple when it comes to that program, but I couldn't opt for it to be sloppy. Coloring was the easy part, shading however was not. Tend to be kind of picky and in this case had to release my mind from the comfortable notions of drop shadow. Shade for depth, not for shading itself as this in the end is really just a guide for a physical product. Still incredibly flattered. Also must admit I envy people who can do things with their hands.
