I know what you mean I wasn't thinking you were an old man and I meant no disrespect I was just saying I know how to drive responsibly learning from mom. I actually started when I just 10 or a little younger when my dad let me drive his old white Escort around the house and once on the interstate. it was a load of fun.
go with the stang, parts are dirt cheap and they are...somewhat easy to fix, and if you build a 302 ford motor right, it will leave tire marks for ever , the t bird is just gonna cost more is all, look into an old cammaro<cant spell it right now < too they are easy to soup up and look cool too, and parts are cheap too
They where never known to get good fuel economy for the size engine it had(1.1L) and it fouled spark plugs if was driven by a grandmother..But if you drive it like it was stolen it will last for 150k and it is really fun to drive, just expect about 20mpg though. I got it because these are getting really rare...
Nice '84! My dad is a major Rx-7 fanatic. I've started to have a strong feeling towards them as well. I've been a part of Rx7club.com for 4 years or so now. Hell, his first car was an SA22C 1980 Mazda RX-7 in sunrise red. He bought it back in October 1987 just a few weeks after his 16th birthday and had it until the early 2000s. I remember that car very vividly, but I was just a child. Too bad that car is long gone now. He's owned at least 10 Rx-7's, most of them being FBs, and an SA or two, and a few FCs. Currently he owns a gold (soon to be red) 1983 Mazda RX-7 GS, a grey 1983 Mazda RX-7 GSL (was an auto until he did a manual swap because autos suck lol and had 43k (45k now I believe) miles when he bought it, and is in excellent condition with minimal rust, and a 1990 Mazda RX-7 convertible in brilliant black with like 97 or 98k miles on it (had like 90 or 91k when he bought it). He's owned the convertible the longest out of his collection right now (since March of 2011) and all of the FBs were bought in early of 2012. We used to own a 1982 Mazda RX-7 GSL that originally had low compression in the rear rotor and it was an auto as well, did an engine swap from a '79 SA22C Rx-7 from a local junkyard and a manual swap in that one as well, owned it for two years and sold it in May of 2014.
Quite a big story, but I could say a whole lot more, but I don't want this to be too long xD but yeah, the rotaries and Rx-7's run in the family XD my dad's always had a passion for them and I've developed a passion towards them as well when I was 13 or 14. I'm 18 now and I wish I had one. I'm currently looking for an FB though. I don't know very much on working on them, but I want to learn, but anyway, nice '84 man. :)
