I uses to run Linux on there. I plan to install Linux alongside Windows soon. I have a spare Western Digital 1TB drive for linux.

I use Windows at the moment because I wanna run steam. Plus, I grew up with Windows and I collect a lot of old Windows laptops.

My favorite thing I did with Windows was get Windows 3.11 to run on a 2010 Lenovo Laptop :D

You can run DOS on most new computers believe it or not. So long as they have a floppy drive.

But this laptop didn't. And Windows 3.11 doesn't have any drivers for touchpads, or the screen, or the video card. So it was a fun little experiment. But I got it working.

Arch Linux has some stability issues (or did a few years ago.) It was pretty fun for a while, but rather quickly got into a few dependency hell situations. It was especially bad at mucking with libraries that were compiled from source. I've been meaning to give it another try some time, but I haven't had reason to switch back from Debian yet.

Debian is pre. Pre 3.5 or 4 or whatever. I just love Arch Linux because the setup leaves you stranded if you don't know what you're doing. I love making people install Arch when they're used to Ubuntu

There's not much thrill in it with the availability of Pacman. After Linux From Scratch, and writing your own init scripts, package managers feel like cheating.

We have that here in the states too! I tried it, it tastes awful. But I'm glad-- 'cause I'm a girl, and straight... so it makes sense that I don't like the taste of Pussy!

I'm sorry, but I can only have bitter feelings towards Linux, first not running my wacom tablet, and now I'm having it as a part of my computer science course in college.... nasty, but if you can like it, then I can only envy you.

I've had various computers over the years that ran linux. It really helps restore older computers to a modern state. I'm thinking of installing Commodore OS Vision alongside my Windows 7 install. Linux has never given me problems.

I'm afraid my classes demand me to go for OpenSuse, I did use online tests to find the best Linux for myself, but all of them told me to go for OpenSuse.
