Flowers are nice, flowers are pretty
So I took a ride away from the city

Been drawing this all morning. Felt I needed to draw something other than a cartoony dog of sorts, so I thought 'Hey, lets draw a serval! They're fucking cute!'
So I did, because it's true. FUCKING. CUTE.

I was also listening to Sufjun Stevens whilst I drew which I think really helped. His music has that real mellow tone that is perfect for drawing too. For me, at least. Decided to name it after the Matt Costa song Shimmering Fields instead, though, because it feels more relevant.

Anyway, I went all out. References of servals, anatomy references, butterfly references - the lot. I really wanted this picture to turn out nicely.

Thankfully it did. <3 thought I hate the hands and feet to HELL. >:C
speaking of hell, I have to colour this too. I'm determined. SO EXPECT A BADLY COLOURED VERSION OF THIS PICTURE SOON. :3 But first I'm going to keep working on the details in line art, because I kind of feel that it needs a lot of work still...
