Monica The Real Bunny Girl - Jacque Leporide Diary Entry
May 29th 1943
I've been practicing magic for fifteen years ever since I was 15 years old. And over the years, I've been learning and eventually mastering dozens of magic tricks; making rabbits disappear and reappear out of thin air, teleporting objects from one place to another, even transforming things into other things (e.g. a rabbit into an orange) and back. Yet throughout my entire successful career as a magician, I never once used a single magic trick with a human being until now. My first and probably last magic trick I ever performed with a human was turning her into a rabbit and back in privacy. And that went far beyond what I planned.
Up until now, I've lived by the Magician's Oath in which I promised to never reveal the secrets of my magic to non-magicians. I feel that now is the best time to reveal this one important secret. Much to my shock, I realized that I used throughout my career wasn't just smoke and mirrors; it was real magic.
There were no props used for this magic; no curtains, no platforms, no smoke. Just four magic words; "In pentalagus corpore transmuto (In a rabbit's body, I transform)." And so, within a matter of seconds, she transformed into a rabbit, but not just any rabbit. Much to my astonishment, she transformed into a humanoid white rabbit. Her body was still mostly human; arms, legs and torso. Her intelligence, personality and memories were perfectly sound too. However, she unmistakably had the face, ears, feet and tail of a rabbit.
There have been times when I have been amazed by my own magic, and this is definitely one of those times. Upon witnessing her transformation, I was almost left completely speechless along with my temporary assistant. Just like her, I didn't know what to say or how to feel about this. The first words that came out of my mouth within about twenty seconds were the same words that triggered this spell in the first place; "In pentalagus corpore transmuto." And so, much to my relief, she seamlessly returned to her original human state.
Thus, we parted ways and agreed to never speak of this to anyone. Whether or not she intends to keep her part of our agreement, I'm not sure. Regardless, I hereby entrust this secret to my beloved family and my family alone as I have full faith in them keeping it a secret.

This is the entry in an old diary belonging to the great grandfather of one of my characters, Monica Lindall the Real Bunny Girl. This is the diary entry in which Monica discovers those four magic words which change her life forever.
Consider it a teaser of what is in store for Monica as she's gonna need a lot of work on piecing her story together! :)
