Touching tribute, and in a way, I'm glad you made it 27 because even though there is mixed feelings about counting the mother of the shooter in amongst the deceased. Its a fitting tribute either way. Even if there is mixed feelings about it, it still a count of 27 because she was among the lives lost. Just because she was the mother of a young man who did something as tragic as what happened, doesn't mean she doesn't count as among the victims.

Yes I agree, the 27 is very appropriate ... this still brings tears to my eyes. When I think of something this tragic, it always makes me (and many others) ask ... WHY ??? *sniffs and wipes tears from eyes*. SB.

This is really sweet Tilt, and yes that I agree that all 27 are appropriate. Personally I even consider the shooter a victim. He was broken. He could have been helped. All lives that lost that day were valuable lives.

Re: your LJ, it's hit me pretty hard too. It's a completely inexplicable tragedy. Part of what's frustrating is it's awkward even talking to people about it, especially this time of year. I feel like it really needs to be talked about, but when I do I'm just bringing people down and the air becomes uncomfortable. The horrifying details and stories about what happened in that school though, that just complicates the subject further.
