Several hours, I'm unsure how many. Lots of breaks.

So, here's my final decision on the character designs. Though I'm naming this guy Fungus.

Fungus is similar to a sloth- he fur is coated in algae causing a green appearence. He's often found fishing in the shallow seas.

These shallow seas stretch for miles getting little deeper then your average swimming pool. You can walk right across it from the east coast of the giant continent to the eastern islands. Though large flying predators hunt these shallows and it would risk being eaten by a hundred foot long monster.

Across these shallows plants grow sparsely apart. Their roots act as a safe place for the small aquatic life to hide though also the reason many clumsy hogs drown, catching a limb in them.

Those creatures that are being fished are eight finned creatures that act similar to slugs in the way they breathe - through their skins. They have a single eye on the underside of their body thus swim close to the surface.
