I picked up XCOM- Enemy Unknown recently, and I been having decent fun with it. For those unfamiliar, it's kinda like a tactics game where you have a battlefield, some characters to command and an objective like "kill all these futhermuckers dead" except with aliens in this case and a lot of micromanaging resources.
So far, I'm liking it. Been a while since I played a decent tactics game. I don't care for the resource management, but it is pretty necessary to up your characters.
What I'm more impressed by is that it appears that missions and tasks are random. I failed a mission, then loaded a previous game and found the stage and circumstances had completely changed. Enemies switch around, cover changes, different enemy types in different spots, I find it kinda impressive. Kinda keeps you on your toes.
But after I failed a mission, I was a sore loser and now I want to return it.
