About: Derek is your average white collar worker; He works hard all day, and then drinks all night at the pub. Being a Hippo, he is a rather large fellow, and to match this he has a big attitude and a love of big vehicles. Since childhood, he has been obsessed with Diggers and the like, and now works as a digger mechanic and driver for a local construction firm.
Through his work in the building industry (and his lack of success with Women), Derek slowly realized and accepted his homosexuality. But only a select few know of this fact, due to his constant need to ensure his masculinity is at a peak. He's sharp of tongue, and is not afraid to call someone a 'wanker' and knock their lights out if they get on his bad side - especially after a few drinks.
When not working, Derek spends his weekends either drinking more and playing video games/watching TV, or meeting with particular acquaintances to partake in rigorous sexual activity - most of which is filmed, and posted to the internet to be viewed for a charge. He has a particular fascination with bondage.
His hostile persona means that he is paranoid of every judgment that may come his way. Due to this, he struggles to fall in love with any man, and keeps relationships as pub-friendships and sexual partnerships.
