Very nice! I love the color themes as well. The fact that the inside of the castle is all a vivid red helps brings more attention to Beast and also really brings out the pale surroundings. The glow effect with the rain is also amazing too, very high quality.

Glad to hear that worked! It's a pretty simple tactic to draw attention to it, but hey, sometimes that works well, heh. Hopefully with time I can make that effect more subtle but still effective :3

I think it looks better when it pops out. Because then it adds a realism to the rest of the piece. And yeah it is super simple but like you said, simplicity works well. Besides I'm glad you understand color relationships. A lot of people overlook it and it's kinda sad. I need to get better with it too.

That roof...holy shit man. Is that a stock photo or just straight painted. If that's just painted...how did you do that? As for the rest, it's very nice, great color contrast and lighting. ANNND on a side note it's Christmas Eve! Merry almost Christmas

I think the technical term is photomanipulation paintover? I never just plop down a photo and say that's it X3 So I painted the roof by hand, modified a photo on overlay over that, then painted on top of those two layers to make sure it melded with the rest of the composition without detracting from the focus, Beast.
