I started this last night and finished today.
When Barack Obama made his speech at the 2004 Democratic Convention, he was stepping onto the national stage for the first time with his election to the US Senate. It was such a good speech that I remember people asking after that why *he* wasn't running for president instead of John Kerry. Now Barack Obama is in the thick of the biggest, most expensive primary political campaign in US history against Hillary Clinton to compete for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States. This song uses clips from that original speech that introduced most people to this political celebrity.
Barack Obama is the only person in this song; the "second voice" is just his voice pitched up.

An interesting idea, and well executed. I'm still not quite sure how I feel about him... but then again, I can say that about pretty much any politician lol.
I did something kind of similar to this once. I recorded a song called "The Politicians" back in 1991, and it contained clips from the speech that the first president Bush made after the start of Operation Desert Storm. Of course, I manipulated the clips to turn them into things that he didn't actually say, like "Prior to ordering our innocent children into battle..." lol. I uploaded a newer version of that song here a couple of months ago, but that version doesn't have any of the speech clips. They'd be a little outdated now lol. The message of the song itself, however, is even more appropriate now than it was then.

In this case the only twisting manipulation that I did was really just making it sound like there was someone else speaking in addition to Obama, but other times I've also had fun with "remixing" politicians to make them say things they didn't say, and I've made a few other songs like this. Another one I have on here is Full Retaliatory Response, which, while I don't think it's as good as this is, has its moments. It's roughly based on the current Iraq War, but there's so much inaccuracy that it's more of a fantasy story about a violent United States in a different world. George W. Bush vs. John F. Kennedy...
