For a reason, when I'm in a public transport, small kids always stare at me, which make me kinda nervous.
Yet, when no one else sees it, I look at them and puff out my cheeks. They usually answer to me with a loud laugh.

It seems like children (especially babies) have a tendency to just stare at people for no discernible reason.

Several years ago, we were entering a store, four men in our normal dress, jeans tshirts, one guy in black, etc. A young boy stopped in his tracks and pointed, saying Look Mommy! Bad guys!

We all thought it was uproariously funny, which I am sure made the case complete in the mind of that child!

This happened to me once, my fursona uses a jacket that I used to wear between my 12-14s, but with purple insides instead of grey. Well I was around 13, wearing that jacket, a rever pass shirt with a dragon in it, also black, and black joggings (I used to wear a lot of black back then). I had a bad day so I had a kind of a bothered expression and I got on the bus, all the seats were taken and there were a lot of people standing up so I placed myself in an area were there was space for me to grab from a handle. Few minutes later I noticed that I was standing at the side of 2 little girls around 6 years old at their sits, that were all curled up to the side of the window, and whispered things while covered their mouths while looking at me with scared expressions and even sometimes pointing at me. I think they were kinda exaggerating their own reactions, but I found it pretty ridiculous that I having such a nonthreatening anatomy and face they would be doing that, for the whole time I was in that bus.

Yeah... that's pretty much the same thing with me. It's odd for me since I have extremely non-threatening anatomy. I'm just naturally skinny and slight of build. Admittedly, though, I tend to not to be a cheery-looking individual for the most part.

Yeah I have the same body shape, but really tall. I regulary have my eyelids right above my pupils, wich doesn't give me a very friendly expression (neither threatening, it's kinda hard to explain x3)

Out of curiosity, how long have you been transgendered? I'm really trying to sound tactful about this so forgive me if it comes out... weird. It's interesting at how many times this sort of thing comes up in my life.

I've actually had the feeling of having distinct issues with gender confusion since 11 or 12-years-old (even though I did think I was a literal boy when I was 4-years-old). I actually started to "come out" to people, so speak, near the end of college. Mostly it was just gaining the self-confidence and maturity to admit it to myself, if that makes sense.

It makes sense. Society's need to label & categorize everything trips me up all the time.

I'm totally fascinating to kids under the age of six, but it seems that I get a bit scary to those older.

Meh I know exactly how you feel, with pretty much dark brown to near black hair and dark brown eyes, most little kids look at me and think I'm some sort of demon.
