Sketch of Farran and Rezu'rhiel as they appear in Aoal! Weird pose is weird! XD
As a note on the title, Farran (right) and Rezu'rhiel (left) are members of the Gani Tribe. (Farran was not born into it, but that is a long story.) In the thing I need to finish writing about Aoal, they are the only main characters from that tribe, and they are pretty close.
I think every time I draw Farran's collar, it changes a little. I should settle on a design, maybe something a little simpler. And I am not completely sure I got Rezu'rhiel's stripes all correct, but I tried. (I blame the ref!)
Farran is mine!
Rezu'rhiel belongs to shinjid.

I have been trying to develop both a bit, but I am much better at this style, so most of my sketching at least will probably be more like this. Plus, it should look a lot nicer when I get around to inking and/or coloring stuff.
This is also totally not the first time I have drawn stuff in this style.... XP

Farran seems very surprised; the other guy seems to be blithely standing there, his eyes are oversized so he looks toony but he doesn't look surprised. (Did difficult-name just grope Farran or what? )
The collar does look different, but the bead rig looks consistent. I like that you have it hanging off where he's leaning over, it looks realistic. (On the other hand, it does make me wonder why he wears it, it looks like it would get annoying to wear it all the time.) What is the bead thing for? Does it mean something, or is it just adornment?

Well... not groping this time, but he does that. Besides, if he was groping, Farran would be doing much naughtier things. |3
I realized after I drew it that the biggest difference was the crystal in the center that I forgot to shade. The purpose of the beads has to do with his position as shaman; not only does it tell others that Farran is a shaman, but it makes it easier to use certain skills that he is expected to perform.
