
Got the subject I wanted for Christmas. Getting to the guts wasn't hard at all, there was no damage to the skeleton or tissues.
The nerves are neatly organized and all end up on a central nervous system driven by a Koitech branded MD6750 brain, which isn't documented by the maker. This makes a synapse and long-term memory dump tricky, but a complete replacement is possible with a bit of research.
Let's hope the transplant goes well and that the 'saur will become more evil than ever !

Yes, I'm more comfortable with software changes. I'll maybe add some sensors but won't touch the walking mechanism.
My guess about the chip is that it's either a mask rom or OTP microcontroler, typically what you find in toys (has to be cheap). I was rather surprised to not see one of those glob-top chips actually.
