If I had wings my car tires wouldn't explode
That was a nice break while it lasted... time to drive back and get back to work tomorrow. Hope everyone's had a great Christmas! :D
I think this is the first time I've used Photoshop on my Eee Slate, even after having it over a year. Hope it looks okay! No idea if it's too dark/light or whatever. XD Eventually I'll figure out the correct calibration, ahaha. Until then, either enjoy or cringe. 8D

More like 0.1%, weirdo. >D
I can understand it though, once you've gotten used to the disconnect between a tablet and monitor, going back to making digital lines where you put your stylus down is a little odd. But look at it this way, if you can draw on paper and that's not weird, your Eee Slate is essentially an infinite sketch pad. With layers. And a colour palette of billions of shades and hues. And a blending stump that doesn't wear out. That can be erased over and over and over and over and...

Bahaha! At least it'll save me the $3K on a Cintiq setup!
The funny thing is... I love drawing on paper (who doesn't?), and I love drawing on my Intuos 3. I think it's the lack of tooth/texture to the surface -- my sketchbooks are all pretty toothy and non-smooth surfaces -- combined with neck pain from looking down or innacuracy/arm strain from holding my stylus up to meet the vertical screen. I have a sweet iMac setup at my apartment and it's super-comfortable to stare straight ahead and paint. :D
Awesome for on-the-go, though. I barely had to carry anything with me, and that's exactly why I got the Eee Slate to begin with.

Yeah, I love my galaxy note 10.1 for the same reason. But, neck pain/arm strain comes with drawing on paper as well. Some day, they'll invent a tablet surface that mimics paper's texture without obscuring the view of the screen, and has pressure sensitivity. On that day, one company will earn all the money ever.
Given that you're used to working on the intuos though, I would think learning to draw on the slate wouldn't take much at all. A month or two tops of consistent use.

Thank you, man! Nothing goes together like white and magenta, bahaha.
Oh man, the trade. I still can't decide which of your characters I like more (seriously, haha), but once I get further along on my commissions I'm gonna beat myself into actually deciding and do something pretty for you. ;u;
I'm much happier with my art now than where I was in the... earlier this year, so hopefully the wait will be worth it. Lol~

Awwjfkdjfkdj! No rush at all man, have fun and no sweatin' the time. (lookingforwardthough) 8D
Yeaaaah. I totally enjoyed the adjustment time to my new job my hiatus gave me, but I think I'm ready to actually just be an art whore again and spend my evenings drawing.

Annnnnnd here you go. I'm glad we had this conversation, really kicked my butt into gear.
That quote is 100% accurate. :B
Thanks, man! Sometimes screens display the gradation from black to slightly lighter shades of black weird (at least, weirder than how my iMac/Macbook/iPhone displays it and how my printer prints it), so I'm always kind of nervous working on a computer I don't know the screen to. :0

Just ano ordinary weekend, stalking other people's favourite gallery as usual~~~ Then I came across the tile and this pic, then I looked at the picture itself...

Its so so so so true! Look at that awesomely fitting expression! I couldnt stop laughing, because its just so true! xD You have actually done an amazing job here, picking the right title for the right picture. Just so expressive, up to the point, that to show something so clearly with simple illustration. Seriously, great job!
