This was, in my opinion, the best tank of WWII, one of the best weapons of WWII, and one of most influential tank designs of all time. It was not perfect: crude, cramped and very uncomfortable, prone to failures. But it had the right combination of firepower, defense, mobility and price. It was simple enough that many field repairs were performed by their crews. The overall concept is actually the basis of the modern main battle tank: medium, fast, powerful and well-armored, with angled armor which provided better protection. The famous German Panther was developed as a countermeasure to T-34 and you can see many similar design concepts in it. But Panther, while superior to T-34, was even more faulty and much more expensive and the Germans were simply not able to produce enough of them. I had a chance to see a mobile T-34, owned by someone in Slovakia, on show in Vienna once :)

well you had absoluty right here but don't forget about M4 Sherman and its many version specially M4A3E8 Sherman, the best of M4 series;)

Tia, a może za 10 lat odbuduję pojazd pancerny, ale nie myślę o legendzie dla nas Polaków, ale coś znacznie szybszego
