I know this is an oldish comment, but I thought I'd share. :) We got ours one of those plastic storage bins and filled it with a 20lb bag of rice and a few pounds of dried pinto beans. They dig dig dig until they fall asleep lol. And it all stays in the bin so it's not messy at all. They love it. :)
