Hane-tokage are a creature I came up with a while ago, kind of like feathered dragons in the draco family but have feathers not scales and are incapable of fire. Their feathers would change drastically in the seasons and would reflect the season.

Winter -As there are no leaves left to blend in the feathers take on the colours of snow and rocks. They also still live in trees and to stop the flock being picked off by larger predators like other dragons some older Hane-tokage will stand guard on the tallest trees to keep watch at night when the rest of the flock sleeps. In the day the guard flock sleeps and the rest will hunt for what little food they can find
