I recently encountered the first person I ever meet who had NOT WATCHED BUGS BUNNY CARTOONS. Ever.
This made me feel old, sad, and disappointed in the media industry all at the same time.
Not sure if that's the sentiment you were going for in the last panel, but it's so true.

I don't think the ponies will ever hear that song as it is copyrighted.
Singing it at a private party is free, but public performances are not and the writers of MLP FiM have to pay royalties should they use it in any of the cartoons.
(The documentary film The Corporation states that Warner/Chappell charges up to US$10,000 for the song to appear in a film.)
