Step Seven:: After marking your design, carve your design slowly. this will start your carving and be the guide to the rest of your piece.
Again, don't worry about being symmetric. Get as close as you can and don't sweat if a point is slightly higher or lower than another point. I went with a four leaf design with three points on each leaf.
Hint: Keep your knife pointed straight because in the next step, you will be cutting at a 160 to 170 degree angel compared to the line you just made. This will allow the watermelon meat to slide right off.
