At my old elementary school, we would celebrate Chinese new Years with moon cakes and have performers come to school dressed in dragon costumes. They would do the typical parade stuff, so it was really fun each year.
But yeah, this is my character Tsuki, which means moon in Japanese. And YES I KNOW IT'S JAPANESE AND NOT CHINESE.
I just thought the way "moon" spelled and pronounced in Japanese was more fitting to the character.
