Hi,
Well it's great except when the weather is bad, I always loved the indoor model trains, there's a lot you can do if you have the room, which I made sure I would have and you don't have to worry about weather and any little animals doing any damage to your layout. of course with my 1.5 " scale model train, that I ride on, that's run outdoors at different club and private layouts, which is really great fun. Did you see the photos of it? It was posted on FA back a while ago. It's a SP Alco FA1 with a flat car 2 gons and a caboose, engine & caboose are painted in the SP Daylight colors, red & orange. I also give rides on it too, it's powered with 2 deep cycle marine batteries and 4 traction motors one on each axel. Each motor is 2.2 HP for a total of 8.8 HP. She can really pull and fast too.
