I keep a kinda toony style to my art really
I add touches of shading to add depth
I may be a "good" artist but I'm nowhere near where I need to be.
I still feel amateur, mostly cause i can't color yet and I'm still having trouble drawing certain things

No, I speak the truth.
Thats one thing that makes you're art great.
And it works wounderfully.
Practise makes perfect. Even really good artists need practise. and you might be closer then you think.
You call this amateur. I call it adept. You're sketches have improved greatly this year alone. Thats the hard part.
