Line art, full color pictures. I've been working mostly from other finished pieces as a starting point. Things that are poster style, or cel style work really well. Other than that just throw me some stuff. I'd love to help get your purse in style.

It takes way too long to do by hand, so I use a machine. Much respect for those who have the patience for hand stitched embroidery.

I actually just inherited a ton of embroidery stuff and was planning on trying my hand at it. A machine would be really cool though, seeing as it would really speed up/streamline the process.

Really? Very cool. Hand embroidery has it's own look and feel that you can't get with the machine. If you do get into it, I'd love to see what you do. If you ever get the time, find a sewing machine store that sells used machines. I use an old one needle machine that we bought used, and it really wasn't that bad.

Yeah! I have some half done work in with the lot of supplies that's serving as my example to mimic. I really like the thickness and texture of it, if that makes sense?

Do you guide it yourself on the machine or program in the design some how?

My machine has a card that's a lot liek a CF card that you load designs t and it runs them. I mostly just have to babysit the machine to change threads, fix breaks, and needles once it's in. I have a piece of software that I can program the stitches and designs into, and I load the images I'm making patches for into the background and places stitches over the picture for most of my stuff. Anyways, sorry for rambling.
