Since Katellis has been asking so nicely, I sat down and got one of the comics I've been working on finished up. Sometime in the future I plan to get a site up and going and actually publish these things. MangaStudio has a huge learning curve, and I think I need to learn how to prepare my art for scanning to make the prep work easier next time. That's why this is just linework and not shaded at all.
Yes, I did insist on chewing on the ring, just a little. Both the ring and my teeth survived unscathed.

Husband does not, but I have another engineer friend that does! A teeny little stainless steel pinky ring. I didn't even know they existed until he showed me his. Makes me with the tradition was more prevalent in the US.
And thank you for the comment on the ears. I noodled over various designs and didn't want the basic black tipped ears. Gen went through a redesign just last year, and I'm still playing with things. I think I like the ears though :)

Looking good! Titanium is strange stuff. I got hold of some beta-Ti alloy from a government contractor's leftovers back when I was trying to learn knifemaking (beta-Ti will actually hold an edge for a while). It is WEIRD metal. It's like trying to machine hardened chewing gum. Under pressure and heat the stuff can get almost like hard taffy...Not at ALL like steel.
Careful with the titanium rings. they don't really bend is something happens to them, you smash them and they can break up and crumble. Also you can't have them resized, but your right, they do feel like the slag metal rings you get out of a capsule machine.
Beautiful work as always.

Oh yeah... OH YEAH!!! Gen's starting her comic! *adores shamelessly*
Just like I felt it would be! Gen's style is like an old friend come back to visit! Be careful chewing on such things, not only the dental hazard but such things aren't always sanitary. And needless to say, I *love* the actual styorytelling style itself! Thank you Genesis for making us happy! ^___^
