All right, this immediately ends up in my favorites as not only did you draw amazingly well detailed lions, but you've also done so in the style of Revolutionary Girl Utena? Now that... is amazing. Mainly because it shows exactly what lionesses are supposed to be: ROYAL. And this picture doesn't skimp on that in the slightest.
I will have to honestly tell you that this is some outstanding coloration to have been down with markers. I can tell the work you've put into this merely by looking at the shades you've used in coloration. I mean it's simply amazing here! Just looking at Thara's hair here, I can see that you used not only a violet color, but a blue as well. (It's at near her arm, it goes from purple to blue. I do happen to notice. )
Moving from that for a moment, I have to say my word the manner in which you not on drew, but colored the outfits is just.. WOW. From the flowing gown portion of Anthy's outfit to Ro's Utena get up, you did NOT leave out any details. Like how there's a transparent piece of linen coming from the side of Thara's dress towards Ro's leg. To show it's still a type of fabric, the coloration behind it (Ro's leg) is a bit lighter than normal. And yet you still have the red shading effect there to prove there's a lighting source and that the color is being reflected from the red portion underneath. That..... is practically genius.
What I must say I also enjoy here is how you have the shimmer effect not only on their hair, but clothing as well. Seriously, looking at Ro's cuffs, you have them with a shine onto themselves, and it's the color black. ...I don't think _I_ would have thought of that. I simply would not. No one.. really shades the color black. (I mean think about it. There's not exactly a 'dark' black and a 'light' black. :p )
Add to that... the background. You put in a background border.. by hand. Most would use a stock photo or even some kind of computer effect, no. That was done elegantly.. by HAND. And it isn't something that just was thrown together. Oh no no no. It's a beautiful silver border and roses... hand drawn roses... in the title.
This is nothing short of beautiful and I absolutely MUST favorite it.
....I just feel upset that no one else but me bothered to look at it or comment.
Ah well. I just suppose I have to enjoy it enough for more than 10 people. :)
