This was the first plushie I've sewn from scratch. Before that... I'd sewed a little plushie dog or whatever from a kit when I was 8 years old I believe. Still have that dog somewhere too. I was disappointed with a plush commission I'd gotten from someone else of my dragon character Pyron, since it didn't look right almost at all and had wires in the wings, so if you hugged it you got stabbed repeatedly. I said fuck it and bought some fur fleece from JoAnn's and some wigs from Saver's and promptly tore both things up. If you could see the majority of the seams on this plush, she'd look like a Frankenstein's Monster from all the tweaking and building up. This is when I figured out the basic pattern for my other plushes.
The wings look sorta weird since I did them in cotton T-shirt material. It's the only stuff I had that was the right color. Also if you notice looking at all of my plushes, I never put wires in. Wings shall remain floppy damn it.
