Here's a song that Matt our live percussionist wrote the lyrics for.
We then sealed ourselves into a room until we had agreed on some chords for the thing.
Then, I went home and got to work, eventually coming up with this little nugget.
It's the most folk thing we've done in a while, so enjoy it. I know I do.
Things to listen for in this song:
1. Melodica. It's a cool thing and it's in this track. Kind of soudns like an acordian.
2. No MIDI at all in this. Zero. Just voice, guitar, melodica.
3. Return of Harmonies. Haven't done this much in a while.
4. Matt's lyrics! Wacha think?

I'm trying to capture some simplicity here! haha
I love that instrument, and I'm glad to be using it again. Now I just need to sneak in a recorder solo.
Our next couple things are a bit more Look Left-ish. I'm writing 'em faster than I think it's prudent to put online hahah.

I have to agree with most on here that it's got that "folkish" sound to it... the "sittin on the front porch with friends" sound... I like it, you can actually understand the words ... most music today is screaming and way too loud... *hugs the yote* keep up the good work. *paws bumps*. SB.
We've been missing that sound for a while so I'm glad to have recaptured it ^^
I don't understand the compliment "I can understand all of the words" haha. I mean I guess it's good mixing but that's alays irrelivent to me.

Are you talking about ..."sittin on the front porch with friends" thing ?... it's just got that sound that a bunch of friends "sittin 'round" the front porch makin music with each other, having a good time making some great sounds. Did that help a little ?. *hugs the yote*. SB.
I'm spacing another VERY vocal one with something not as similar so people don't get bored. Expect that in a week or two.
I like the little meter changes too. They mostly facilitate breaths, but they make it more interesting too.
The bridge is a little more creative as opposed to the I IV V of the rest of the song.
