- COMMISSION/CHRISTMAS GIFT -
The two Skunks had separate duties for the day.
James would be in self-isolation, locked away inside of the kitchen with the threat of stinky death for anyone that decided to break it. His mission for the day was to get started on some festive food for the two of them. December had rolled in unannounced and there was even a light sprinkling of snow dusting the ground as the Skunk turned up the radio located on the kitchen counter. Some Christmas-y music would help him work.
James had removed his usual attire of a loose-fitting tank-top and jeans, instead favouring the native look. Only with all the cooking he was about to do, it made sense if he had some protection.
As such, the Skunk reached for an apron, it was one Flash had bought for him as a birthday present earlier in the year. It was black with white lettering on the front that said "Kiss The Cook" underneath was a crude, cartoon stitching of a butt. James smiled as he rubbed his thumb over the stitching. Flash could be incredibly thoughtful.
While the picture of a rear-end on his apron was all well and good, it wasn't what James liked most about the clothing. It was the bare nature of the back of the apron. His entire back-side was exposed (including his backside). While beating some eggs to the tune of Santa Baby, James flicked his tush from side-to-side to the sound of the beat, humming happily as the Christmas themed cookies came together...
For Flash, it was his job to put up the decorations in the living room of their house. He was well on his way already as various coloured tinsel hung from the walls, tasteful, sophisticated decorative snowflakes were tied to the ceiling, left to swivel in the slightest breeze. Flash had already braved the harsh outside of the house in order to put up the lights, though he resisted the temptation to turn them on yet, he wanted to watch, with James, as they came on for the first time.
The red-banged Skunk was all set to work on the tree when he turned his head towards the kitchen. James was singing along to a tune. Flash grinned at the door knowing that his prince Skunker was already getting swept up in the spirit of the season.
Flash greatly enjoyed adding the decorations to the tree. Baubles, more tinsel, some fake snow, even more lights and plenty of glittering fake jewellery all came together to make their tree sparkle.
One of the last things to do was to add some of the presents under the tree for Christmas morning. Flash, on his knees and elbows pushed a rather large gift right to the back of the pile, he wanted James to open that last. Inside was a framed picture of all their friends together during the height of their happiness after the wedding.
Finally done, Flash wriggled out from under the tree. Standing up, he wheeled around only to come face to face with a now dressed James who had finished up inside the kitchen too - the cookies were baking and would be done in 15 minutes.
"Hey Skunker..." He purred, looking up over his own head as the tip of his tail bobbed in front of his eyes. Flash looked up too to find some mistletoe had been tied to the end of his bushy tail.
"We're under the mistletoe...how about a kiss, you stinker?" James chittered, placing his hands atop Flash's shoulders, leaning in to kiss his dearest love.
It really was beginning to look a lot like Christmas.
Well with another Christmas/Holiday/Kwanzaa period almost behind us for another year I thought it was time that I busted out another gift that I purchased for a friend of mine!
Bro, you're worth the weight of the world in gold to me and I treasure every little moment we get to spend with each other.
Funny story about this one. I purchased it exactly one month before Christmas.
I like to get my shopping done early, so I don't have to worry about any last minute gifts. I figure that if you're rushing, trying to think of something for someone, then it won't really come from the heart y'know? If you give yourself time to really think about what you would like to get for someone that means so much for you, then you'll never run into any problems. I really don't understand why people leave it to the last minute to shop anyway. Crazy!
As I've come to expect, Cappuccino just did an amazing job with this. Those two Skunks look so good in her style of artwork don't they? I really do need to get more pictures of these two. They make the cutest damn couple and they're so fun to write for!
One last thing?
Flash has a really muscled back. I like that.
Enjoy!

Hey asshole.
Usually I'd leave this kind of stupid, moronic comment alone and let it go. In your case, I think I'm going to make an exception.
Do you get your rocks off insulting art? Get you hard does it?
Don't come here and post shit like this on a piece that I bought for a friend of mine and taint it with your pathetic, immature comments. It's beneath you, really.
Why don't you take a deep breath next time and decide NOT to comment on something that you don't like. You have an opinion about the art present here, I get it. But I love it, nothing you say will ever change my mind about this.
Fuck off.

Fuck off.
If nothing I say is going to matter then why would you indulge this assumed fantasy of me Getting my rocks of when I see people buying all this art of their species and to not even have it look anything like what it should look like and they just accept it and never bother asking the artist to change it. Now I would understand if this was some kind of stylized art. But its not Its just a artist being lazy not attempting to improve their skills and move on from the generic Canine skull.
I asked a question and i got a answer. You don't care. And artists take advantage of this.
And i look at your friends gallery and see a few decently drawn skunks. But then this happens and its make me rage. I have been holding back, for a long time. I am sorry you had to be at the butt of my rage. But this needs to stop. Everyone isn't a dog here. I cant tell you how annoyed i get when people see furry art and they say, "look at all those funny colored dog people."
When in reality its a whole bunch of species with the same skull shape.
But. Then again you don't care. You are just accepting it. And again I am sorry you are the victim of my rage don't take it personal. But it seems no one really cares.

Wow...every time I see these two together, I just know that cuteness is going to follow! I really do love the way you write for these two, and I can totally see how something can come so easy when two characters have such colorful stories to them. I absolutely adore this piece, bro, and I agree with you about not wanting to wait until the last minute. I just can't do that! Thank you so much for the gift. I love it just as much as I love you, bro. You're the best! And I don't care what the nay-sayers have to chime in with, I think the two of them look just fine together!
