Cultural clash! I'm across the pond, I had what you would probably call a flashlight in mind.
Poor Lemerian if it had a burning torch inside or would they like that fiery warmth. o..o
I can think of a nice waterproof LED torch that would brighten up that picture ;p

It's all about choosing the correct colour pallet! Just mind your highlights and your lowlights! I used a very dark gray for the shadows here, and then a light black for the highlights. :)
