2 seems like natural camouflage for a sort of mountainous/volcanic terrain.

I don't think they need camoflage. They're the biggest animals on the planet (moon, in this case). And they just need to be seen from a distance ^^ That's for survival... And yes, the environment is pretty much volcanic there!

You should probably take into consideration what scene you'll be putting it in. It's hard to say which will look best without knowing what the color scheme of the backdrop will look like.

Actually a good question... How can I know what environment I'm going to put her in since it is going to be a comics... which involves space travelling and visiting different planets? At least that's an idea but...

The answer is: "all sorts of weird possible environments". So it is not just a single image with a background that would suit her
