What do you know… a new “Reptile-poser" artwork! ^_^
But this isn’t just any Reptilian poser… this is “Reptile Cynrik” - the new Reptilian athlete! And he’s posing just for you. This time, he’s looking more… natural and realistic than ever before. I like the body build, but I don’t think that I’d draw him much stronger. In any case, this is his current design, which I’m going to use in 2013!
Usually, I don’t like my “poser artworks” very much… because they don’t tell a lot of stories and there isn’t much happening. At least, this counts for my poser artworks… they are mostly very simple and less complex. In THIS case, I wanted the poser artwork to be something… MORE! So I’ve decided to use a very laborious digital art style… and I think it’ll pay off.
I’d like to wish you a great and successful new year and all the best for 2013!
Take care and be well
- Patrick ^_^

Ohhh what do we have here! It's our favorite reptile of all time!
And I'm digging that shading style, it looks like some blend between soft and cell shading, really cool! It gives me the impression that Reptile got some tan
Anyways, nice artwork as usual, Patrick. I wish you have a great New Year and please keep it up your good work!

Heheh, I knew it :)
I am doing well, I've been incredibly busy during November/December with my job and my college final exams, but I finally met some peace now ^^"
That's also one of the reasons why I'm delaying my part of the trade, but don't worry - I haven't forgot about it!

And I only just noticed with the larger image. While the left hand looks about right, the right index finger appears to be skewed way off the line it's supposed to follow, appearing to be connected to the very end of the relevant joint in the wrist.
Shame, 'cause the rest of it is pretty much spot on.

Aaaaw, you shall be forgiven! ^___^
I cannot check both pages at the same time with the slow tablet PC here. :-P
Anyway, I'm glad for the comment and that you've faved the artwork.
Thanks.
And I did use a mirror function all the time, just to avoid mistakes.
AS YOU CAN see now, the index finger is slightly stretched... pointing forward.

Well :x! Reptile won't get presents from Santa this year! He is so naughty that he teases his fans!!!
Anyways, I actually think this is one of yar better works when it comes to both lineart and coloring. Maybe it's just me, but I see a very clean athletic body with an amazing coloring that is somewhere in between of a painting and a cartoon. It's pleasant to observe and I think the main reason is that this pictures lacks in lineart. The abs are big and realistic (they are 8 :3), the biceps have only a few veins showing and they lack curves unlike your other works :3

Naaaaaaaaah, this is NOT naughty, at all. XD
And he already GOT his presents, hehehehehehehehe!!!!!!
This picture has a LOT of line art... in fact, there are countless fine, small hatches (but you can't see them anymore). ^^"
Also, the shading is super-smooth and all veins are just very thin and fine. I don't like to enhance the strenght of veins, hrrrr.
I'm happy you approve. ^^

Yes, this must be one of your best Reptile pics so far. :3
However, I always find one thing funny, and you're not the only one to do it. XD
Reptile here has a slit and no external balls (from what I remember, I must crosscheck that again). Yet, here we have him sport a sizable bulge in his speedo, and again, its not something I just see from you. XD
So either Reppy is mildly pleased to see us, just came back from the toilet or you just drew that bulge because most artists are used to drawing males with a...well, natural bulge in their pants, even if there shouldnt be one. And it would look a bit weird, if more realistic, if such a hunk of a male would be flat down there. :P

THANKIES, buddy! I'm happy you like it. ^____________^
About the bulge: that's completely logical. Check this here:
http://www.reptile-universum.de/rep.....le/RepSkin.jpg
http://reptile-universum.de/misc/Re.....e-Genitals.jpg
You can see, that male Reptilians have a genital slit, yes... but it's not like a flat slit, it's more like a sheath. The first link shows it much better!
And he has some horn plates, protecting the teticles... but they're almost shaped like flat, smaller balls. So much about the bulge.
After all: I did not overdo it here... you cannot recognize a penis ('cause it's not visible). ^^
I drew the bulge, because the horned sheath is bulging through the cloth... if his penis would have emerged I'd have to draw it differently.
And I agree... it would looks stupid, if he was flat. But as you know now: a round, nicely shaped sheath made of horn DOES cause a bulge!

Well, Reptile has NEVER worn a speedo... so this is something new. BUT IF I would have to choose... the fundoshi would be my choice.
Why?
Because it shows even MORE skin, it's thinner (*grins*) aaaand it's the more believable fashion in my universe.
This version here is a modern, "off-the-record" artwork... this is NOT a part of my official universe.
They don't have speedos in AKTES!!! ^^"
So, the fundoshi would always be my "real" choice... but Reptile looks best in EVERY WEAR!!!!

I don´t know why, but I look this kind of picks in Reptile very funny XD Maybe is because you add a speedo on him (which is indeed familiar form DJ, or the fact that in the towel has a canine or feline spot, which contrast too much the species between the owner and the product, or maybe that face expressions that says "I don´t mind to be sexy" XD Not sure heh.
But I have to say, this is indeed the best digital work or Reptile with this shading style at the open sky. The last thing that it left is his body all wet to increase more the idea of going to swim or something heh.
Anyway, I like the way you color it, the anatomy impressive as always and good pose too ^ ^

Yeah, the speedo is very... unusual and Reptile would never wear this in one of MY stories! ^^"
And yes, the expression... you hit the spot, hehehehehe.
Thanks, buddy. I really appreciate your comment - I was kinda waiting for it! ^^ Yeah, this style is quite intense and takes some time... but it was worth it.
Ooh... wet surfaces... ^^" Sounds nice. But the effect might even go too far now, hehehehehe.

Heheh, I know it´s unusual, and I saw him using that frequently heheh XD
Yeah you really did a great work with the shadings, I can see the efforts of making it looks very good, you did take the time for it ^ ^
And don´t worry, knowing you, the wet surface, even if it´s a difficult one, I know you can deal with it for another time :D
Oh, and before I forgot. Happy New Year My Friend!!! ^ ^

Heeeey, long time no see! Thanks a lot for the comment. ^_^
Honestly... I used this stye in an adult artwork once... but I wante to have a clean one, too... showing Reptile in all his glory.
And about the towel... this is just a simple brush tool, hehehe. But I am glad you like the result.

Darum! ^_^
Und man ist einfach besser geworden!!!
