As a half breed Lumekari, Aisis decides to settle in the nesting grounds typically meant for Lumekari offspring. However as the time draws near, a sudden flurry of movement causes her to wonder exactly what it is she's carrying as it doesn't appear to be eggs. Or if they were, they've seemed to hatched already.
Aisis is certain that she had been in her feral form during conception. But everything during that time is a blur. It seems she has no choice but to find out the hard way...

Since Aisis conceived in her dragon form, her reproductive system remained in tune to her dragon genetics. And since she (and her sister) can transform, she also can manage to shift her body size in specific areas (in this case her stomach) to handle a dragons typical womb capacity.
Also Lumekari eggs are pretty solid and don't hatch until after they've been layed. Chances are she's carrying something else.

I really like these little series you do. This one about Aisis getting pregnant is probably my favorite--well, that and the one with Tabali and the fertility idol!
I love how you work mystical and fantastical pregnancies into your characters. I really like this series (I think the order goes this one --> "a warm welcome" --> "a late start" --> "throne of descent"? Let me know if I'm wrong!) because it shows Aisis getting flustered when she realizes she's pregnant, only for her to grow to accept it later and watch over her kraken offspring. Just great!

That's pretty much the correct order.
A warm welcome > Maybe I picked the wrong nest > A late start > and Throne of descent.
I will definitely have to return to it and perhaps a sequence with her older sister, Adlys and her ensuing hydra.
Tabali is definitely my favorite sequence and I plan on doing more in the future :D
