One of the first stories I wrote when I started participating in the fandom was a tale about a teen that went to a garage sale and purchased a statue of a raccoon. The statue turned him into a full raccoon.
A couple of years ago, I decided to expand the story in an attempt to figure out what might have become of the character afterwards.
So, in this expanded edition, our protagonist through a friend he meets discovers the ups and downs of life as a domestic raccoon and must make a decision when the time comes.

When I begun to read your work I thought that it's just another TF fic and nothing more - I guy will change and that would be mostly the end. Yet when I pore over it a bit it really surprised me. The first thing which hit me is that it has a moral, a guideline which is possible for every reader to apply to their own lives. Secondly it shows very well-thought-out and realistic (yet still fantastic) situations. The psychological problems of a transformation and a peculiar catharsis - this things amazed me the most. Furthermore you gave a very interesting and unusual view on the subject of "What it means to be a human?". To sum up: I really loved it, it has a soul (which is very unique this kind of fiction), please write more fiction like this one!
P.S. You really inspired me. I begun to write my own fiction also trying to show another point of view on the situation in what a transformed person would be, and I also try to add something like a moral to it.
P.S2. You should really write a sequel!
P.S.3 Sorry for my English. It's my second language and I probably made lots of mistakes.
