How sad. A sadness of a piece of history that once meant something to someone vanishing and leaving us only a fragment to wonder about. I suppose that's true about every artifact that is unearthed or captured on film.

There appeared to be a newer, larger farmhouse down a private drive nearby, so I assume that that is the family.
Fortunately, this house had been emptied prior to abandonment and collapse, leaving only starry wallpaper and this mural as signs of the previous inhabitants.

Hmm, maybe it was structural, or the family had expanded beyond what the house could hold. Still, it's neat to see how they chose to decorate the space. Perhaps it was the children's room?

No, this was the living room actually. I love the idea of doing that in the living room, seeing it right when you enter.
Although, they may have entered through the back door, which was nearest the laundry, or the side door (recognizable as a larger rectangular hole in the horizontal plane once a wall) which was closest to the garage. If so, it could have been the children's room.

In the living-room would be so hippy- I love it... A sad, but sweet old house...

Yeah, lovely thing. If I go back, I may take a part of her as a souvenir.
