This is the start of my steampunk pirate. ^-^ totally not finished, i still have to finish the bracers, waiting on the correct shoes, waiting on some other fun things, gotta make the map and utility belt. Its actually not a whole lot. Will be moved to scraps once I have a photo of the real costume.

you'd like the pistol I just got, it's a flintlocke, but very ornate and would match a steampunk look as well as pirate :D

Ohh! I actually have a prop flintlock pistol and a blunderbuss in the mail on the way. I have to make some holsters for them. This version of the costume is very incomplete, but still functional!

hehe, my dad found me the double-barrel flintlocke I've been wanting since they no longer make them, I also have a blunderbuss, now I just need one of the mini-blunderbuss' and I'll be complete... the Master Gunner needs to make that point very clear :P

We're looking into getting a real blunderbuss, my dad has real pistols and we may have ourselves a small cannon by the end of Feb. :P

yep, we be all the way up here in Michigan, we also have calcium carbide cannons, those make a really nice bang without all the gunpowder and you don't need a real cannon :P
