Sicking demons on you, pushing you into confronting humanity’s worst impulses given physical form, manipulating fate itself to force you into taxing scenarios that never would have occurred otherwise; your list of grievances goes on and on. In turn I ask, ‘Where would you be without me?’ Can you deny that every ordeal I’ve put you through hasn’t been a blessing in disguise? Each and every one of them has been an opportunity for you to achieve the best possible outcomes in what should have been hopeless situations. I prefer to think of myself as graciously providing you chances for success you otherwise wouldn’t have had, as opposed to constantly tossing you into a maelstrom. Gnash your teeth all you like, Russo. Simply put, I am the necessary evil in your life. And you will never be rid of me. Keh, it’s far too fun a role to play, after all.”

Note: This is another fanfreakingtastic piece that of artwork that I commissioned from  DemonRoni of a certain god that has shown up with increasing frequency in my story. He has yet to actually reveal what or if he has a name, but the other characters who are aware of him simply refer to as Dark. This is the newish form he's been strutting around in as of my latest chapter. The snarky fella is easily one of my favorite characters to write for. DemonRoni is just about always open for commissions, so why not go patronize him?
