As Mid-Winter day goes past
And light returns to us at last,
Creatures that were feeling low
Go out to play upon the snow.
From the woods the grey wolves creep,
And in the snow they form a heap -
A furry snapping pile of fun
To celebrate the new-found sun!
They roll and chase around the trees
And do whatever grey wolves please,
For soon comes Spring, when Winter's o'er,
A time for pups and food galore.
