So, when the folks at Furplanet told me they wanted 'an image of characters from different time periods at a ball together', naturally, this is immediately where my head went.
Excuse to do a crossover pic? WIN!
Commissioned by Furry Fiesta ( http://furryfiesta.org/ ) for a calendar they'll be printing for con attendees. The calendars will also be available for purchase for those who can't make it to the con, and I'll have some copies of my own to sell eventually, I'm sure.
Luther is a very happy dog. Two gorgeous blondes on his arms. . . does it get any better than that?
Somewhere else in the ball, there's a very angry wolfdog preparing to beat the Admiral's tail, I'd wager, and get his man back.
Characters pictured are, from left to right:
Amon , Luther Denholme, Marcus Laramie

"Somewhere else in the ball, there's a very angry wolfdog preparing to beat the Admiral's tail, I'd wager, and get his man back." And a northern fox who will be helping because dammit, he should be the fox on that man's other arm and that fennec can kiss his a-- actually hm that fennec's kind of cute. New evil plot!

I love the smug look on Luther's face too. LOL

I believe that is the point of the cog-like "craters" on the moon in this picture, since the theme is about characters who in their canon stories would have never met due to the centuries separating their lives from each other.
What better way to subtly highlight this by fusing the moon, once vital for the timing of important events in the past, with the intricate mechanics and cogs of a clock?
(Also the pocket watch Luther is holding in his right handpaw further illustrates this connection with the flow of time, in my mind anyway.) :)

The time is now and the moon is right,
Open your eyes to the life of night,
Move your shadow to the fear at hand,
Spread your wings and fly across the land!
Caged minds sink to the bottom of society,
Those who think have fallen into nobility,
Blood and sapphires crackle crimson fires,
Rubies in the eyes and diamonds in the skies...
That's as far as I got, sorry. I got distracted by a kitty I thought I saw, but it turned out to be a leaf near a shiny thing, so I picked up the shiny thing but it burned me and so I threw it and I don't know where it's gone and then I was sad but then I looked really really close at the leaf and now I have a happy. c:
