I made a crab for my great uncle Jack last Christmas, and my granddad liked it so much he asked if I could make him one this year. I actually really like sculpting crustaceans, they're some of my favourite things, so it was a treat to make another one. Yay crabs! I don't usually show pictures of the bottoms of my pieces, but I sculpted this little guy's 'trapdoor' too- it's just a little flap on a crab's belly they crawl out of when they need to shed their shell. If you ever find an empty crab carcas on a beach, chances are it's not anyone's remains, but just his discarded and outgrown carapace. Pretty cool!
