Part 1 of 5 of the TFs that
WrathofAutumn did for my birthday.
"Steve Fox, professional boxer and son of Nina Williams, was finishing a boxing match when he was ambushed and sedated in the locker room. When he next woke up, he was in the laboratory of the Mishima Zaibatsu, his head linked up to a machine with the kangaroo boxer, Roger. The scientists at worked cryptically told him of an experiment in augmenting the fighting prowess of future generations. The ideal test was to use those previously accounted for as experiments--Steve Fox, born in a test lab, was no exception.
The actual "process" involved a gas chamber which would pump in catalysts, artificial proteins, amino acids, enzymes, organic nano-machines and a virus that would disassemble the "animal subject" cell by cell, breaking down the structure and reducing them to a puddle of bacterial, primordial soup, while then transferring the building blocks over to Steve, where it would reassemble him from the head and downwards using Roger's "parts". A set of electric circuitry linked directly to his brain would start feeding high-voltage neural patterns of Roger's memories, thoughts, personality, and other functions--a complete xeroxing of his brain's data to augment, merge or even overwrite any "data" in Steve's brain.
After a painful two minutes, the experiment's a success. A perfect blend of human and superintelligent kangaroo, he's now got more power in both his arms and especially his legs, particularly for jumping. All of Roger's boxing and wrestling techniques have been added to Steve's own, making him an even greater fighter.
A setback had occured, however, that they did oversee--Steve Fox, despite being an anthropomorphic kangaroo, was still Steve Fox. There was none of the obedience of an animal that they wanted. Steve was deemed a failure and sent to be terminated. Once again, they underestimated his new strength and, combined with rogue elements scattered across Mishima Zaibatsu, he managed to make his escape.
There was more to those memories than combat, however. He feels a new connection for Roger's remaining family--the memories of his interaction with them burns in his mind. Though he managed to escape, he is tormented by a need for companionship with Roger's son, Roger Junior. A paternal instinct, deep in his tail, told him that his family was in danger. He has resolved to bring down Mishima Zaibatsu, but vows vengeance if his wife and son are used as further test subjects."
