A strange event tosses Ash into another galaxy. Finding himself younger, covered with orange fur, with a case of amnesia, and alone, the boy hides and tries to find a place to stay.
Thankfully, he isn't alone long as a pair of beings much like the one he's turned into come across him. Introducing themselves as Krystal and Fox McCloud they offer to be his family and, with little other choice, he accepts. The two, taking the amnesiac fox Kit into their care, name him Todd McCloud, and take him to their home and raise him along their biological son, Marcus.
