Winter 2012 drawings 5.1: Jake, P.I. (Jake and Irma)
Ah, these two. I was watching Who Framed Roger Rabbit? and reading Dashiell Hammett, as you do at Christmas, and feeling like doing something a bit toonier.
So, Jake, private detective and encyclopaedia salesman, terrible beyond description at both. He can sense danger, even when there is none. And Irma, friend thereof who finds him endlessly amusing, tags along, and tends to end up casually solving every case on his behalf; pictured here in most butter-wouldn't-melt mode.
