Some versions of the creartion stories place Anubis as the son of Set. Either way they do not look happy to see each other.

Nope. Set is an unknown animal referred to as the Set Animal. There's plenty of discussion about what he might or might not be but there's no concensus.

Concidering that Set was associated with the desert, storm and chaos, I wonder if that strom wasn't put there intentionally.

Anyway, this is definatly something I'm going to have to pick up for myself once it's available.
