The first part of chapter two of Divisions, in which Lee meets some of Dev's family at Thanksgiving. Told from Dev's point of view. (Chapter one has not been posted, but if you're on my mailing list you will see a little snippet of it soon--see my previous journal for how to sign up.)

I really like this. It's well-written and flows easily, as usual. Dev's family dynamic seems to be getting more interesting the more people are involved. A lot of new issues are cropping up as well as old ones resurfacing, and its all happening pretty fluidly. The dialects still sort of make me roll my eyes a little, but that's a tiny bone to pick. Think I may have to pre-order after all.
I rather like the idea that each character has their own natural smell. And Lee worries about his own. It's something I used it in my own character development as well. Also I've got to agree with Dev, I like the way red foxes smell! I've had several rescues live indoors with me over the years and I've never found their natural body smell to be offensive. I suppose it's just an acquired sent, as I rather love the smell of ferrets also. Although it's different than vulpine many people think they also smell just as bad.
Hi Kyell and thank you for this chapter *HUGS*.
Reading it is like returning to a well loved place with people I care about, and yes I have just ordersed my hardback copy to match with the other well worns copy of Isolation play.
Hope your having fun back over in the states and that the weather is not causing you too many issues.

Sadly, I cannot get the actual book as I'm travelling through Europe right now, but I cannot wait for the Kindle edition to come out! I've been absolutely eating up Isolation Play and Out of Position since I got them a couple months ago (lost track of my re-reads), and I'm really looking forward to the next instalment.
I attend a lot of conventions (www.kyellgold.com/contact.html) and periodically visit Sofawolf HQ and have signing opportunities. Watch kyellgold and sofawolfpress on Twitter and here and we will mention when those things happen.
