Very cool paintwork there! I've been snooping around for some good uv/glow paint for my mask accents and suit platings but the one site that has promising stuff charges an arm and a leg for a small amount XP

This is nothing more then hobby lobby acrylic paint. The brand name is folk art. :)

.... Seriously...? The brand I got was also from Hobby Lobby - but it wasn't very reactive but was both UV reactive and glow in the dark. :C I had a hard time getting it to lay down thickly enough - unless you had similar problems layering?

You can hardly tell where I laid the paint down - but this was the costume I tested it out on for the first time: https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hpho.....29965355_n.jpg (yes I am wearing solid black goggles under there to up the creep factor - worked like a charm and looks much better irl - this was done with a friend's iphone, I really ought to take a better photo of it ^_^; ) - this was taken at a magic shop that had blacklights, the eyes were painted with the glow paints and backed, but I had rather lousy vision - wasn't too bad though for a prototype mask.

the glow paint tend to work very poorly, I use solely the UV or "neons". If you want glow you typically do have to invest in glow powder or very expensive paint. (at least from my experience, I may be wrong here)

Haha, so I noticed unless it's the high quality stuff - though there's an idea to get some of the 'invisible' stuff from this site I found that's really powerful, and overlay that over the cheaper UV paint, might be worth experimenting with..

Yes they are! These are acrylic half spheres. :)

Did you make the mold yourself for them? o: just curious because it would be cool if I could make LED eyes with them o:

They need to be the hlaf spheres, the full balls will not work. :)

lolz sadly the ones i would like are the ones with the green watery look and>.< and honey you know i would looooove a suit by you, I just need to get a job first XD

but here's another question I've got. What diameter size are the half spheres you got? I just used paint palettes to mold mine (and Whisper got all bummed that they couldn't be follow-me) so i'm thinking of getting some of these for upcoming projects. I just don't know what size to get for the standard suit.

This is the site I get mine through. :) I pretty much always use the 1 1/4" ones but the 1 1/2" look good as well. (My bases are all fitted for the 1 1/4" blanks for size comparison)
