The oldest stone building in Illinois, built in 1826. Extremely modest by today's standards, it was considered a mansion in its time. Unfortunately, very little of the original house's insides remain, but it is still full of items from the time period, giving an excellent feel of what it would have been like. Unfortunately, photos were not allowed inside. :(
