Okay, seriously! Where do these assassins keep coming from?
This is a gift piece for
Xepher Sicarius I've been thinking of ways to make his outfit for Xepher a little more detailed, so when he has his fursuit, the outfit will match the high quality and detail of the fursuit.
So I came up with this...
I like how the swords on his back are hung. There should be straps connected to the scabbards to hold onto the crossbars to keep them from falling out though. That little bit is inspired by one of the dwarves from the Hobbit, whose two swords were held like that.
It also keeps the quiver by itself, so he doesn't accidentally draw a sword when going for an arrow, and vice versa.
I particularly like how the "hidden blades" work. No offense to the Assassin Creed games, but I think it's utterly stupid how the blades are on the underside of the gauntlets...you're more likely to cut your hand open than an enemy. So I came up with a little decorative falcon bit for the top of the vambraces, which, when triggered, will flip out to form a blade.
Speaking of falcons, how many falcons can you count in this picture?

Good observations LordFenrir. I was feeling exactly the same in regards to the wrist blades; only cool looking until you consider practicality. The placed of the weapons on the back instead of the belt also gives the fighter far greater room for leg and lower torso maneuvering, as well as making a sprint easier to carry out.
Yep! We're also going to split the coat into fourths, with one split down the back (so the tail can be free), and the other two on his sides, allowing for further freedom of movement.
I was debating on whether or not I wanted to put the quiver on his hip, because it is easier to draw arrows from your waist than from your back, but that would hinder movement. So I figured he can just hold a bunch of arrows in his hand as he fires, like in this video:
