This is the oldest record that I have in my collection. It's from 1935 and the song is 'Introduction and Allegro for Strings' (written in 1905) I do have the other record but it is cracked, this is the only surviving one I have so I am treating it like gold dust.
This record does get played since it is very soothing music to listen to after a long day. Although its not really my genre, I like it!
(b.t.w 'His Masters Voice=HMV, familiar music store perhaps?)

I have quite a few 78 rpm records too. The oldest I have have only one face recorded, the other is a fancy "printing" of the company's logo all over the surface. I heard those records were common before WWI and still manufactured un tp the mid 20's...
Sadly this record got a huge bump, so I can't listen it.
Recods from the 30's are quite common (at least where I live) because they simply won't sell much, so you can alway find them for cheap.
I have 3 or 4 amazing records of two comedians from the 40's, totally forgotten today. And other things that are amazing to listen but nobody cares.
I even have a complete set of classical music on large (30cm) records, that come in a heavy cardboard book to store them together.

Here they are...
The ones I have with their paper sleeve :

I tried to put different (but significant) labels. I have more records with paper sleeve, but they are either bland ones (like the ones on the bottom) or they are of brand that already are on the pic.
You can notice there is two "Pathé" sleeves, but the design on the bottom one was so nice I felt the need to include it.
Also I know there is some mix-up with the sleeves, but I got the records like that, and I don't feel like swapping all of them. Especially since I have a Perfectaphone sleeve but no Perfectaphone record :p
The most amazing thing I saw on a sleeve is a mention stating "if the quality of your record start to lower due to useage, make big scratches over the disk to render it unuesable, then bring it back to the place where you bough it. You will receive a free replacement record."
And my oldest one:

So nice. This one is certainly more than 90 years old; circa 1920 is the latest date you can give it.
And sorry for the burned colors, but my flash is on the lowest settings
I didn't find my "booklet" records, I think I put them with my LP or my Laserdiscs ^^

My room is too dark for the camera :p More ISO would only make my picture noisy. My camera works really bad in bad light conditions.
Some more, I found the "booklet" thingie :

Also, this one :

Seems new? it is!
It's a microgroove 78rpm that was recorded around 2009.
I still can't found a small 78 rpm I found, it's the size of a 45rpm ^^ but the center is smaller to fit all the music in.
