Yay! What a nice Christmas present to get: ore DoomGadget. She's especially cute in that penultimate panel.

BTW, it *is* a little weird though, them continually referring to Gadget as 'he'! ;p

I need to go back to including a picture of Gadget sleeping on each page to reinforce the fact that it's Gadget - a female character - dreaming that she's Victor von Doom - a male character, with all the obvious mismatches that will imply. I do have one joke in mind on that when she wakes up. B -)-

The crazy thing about this is that I know it's a re-telling of Victor von Doom, but in some crazy way, I feel like we're releaving Gadget's own oft hinted, but never seen childhood in a way. I think, because this is the first time I've ever seen Gadget depicted in any kind of family scene. Dream or not, this just increases my fondness for my favorite, blond-haired mouse-girl.

Thanks! I think that in some odd ways there are some subtle and not-so-subtle connections. One thing I want to explore when Gadget wakes up are some unexpected similarities...

Now that is something I will definately look forward to seeing!
